Our apprenticeship programme runs between 2-4 years which is just the start of your professional learning with your career at Zurich. You will begin with the level 3 AAT qualification and have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 4. The topics you will learn vary from:
- Responsibility for a number of month end tasks and deliverables including posting journals across a variety of areas and analysis of the result
- Understand our financial reporting from profit and loss statements, statutory reporting and other key financial reports
- Understand how Finance operates across the UK and how the work in Finance enables us as a business to better support our customers

Our purpose in UK Finance is to provide accurate and timely reports enabling the function to become a trusted business partner, adding value through projects alongside initiatives to help deliver the UK strategy. UK Finance has a range of teams from financial reporting to business partnering and provides great opportunities for developing a career as a well-rounded finance expert. The apprenticeship is an excellent opportunity to join the UK P&C Financial Accounting and Reporting team. As a member of the team, you will play a vital part in the UKs financial reporting, working on a range of topics from month end close activities to statutory accounts. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who can work both independently and as part of a team.

What you’ll need:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 including Maths and English
- Commitment to study an apprenticeship qualification and work towards AAT qualification
- Higher qualifications, such as an A-Level, in Maths are not required but would be valuable in your studies and role
- You’ll need strong numeracy and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to draw conclusions from the analysis of data and communicating recommendations to stakeholders.
- You will need excellent team-working skills and should be highly motivated and articulate, with the drive to succeed while completing your professional qualification.
