How do I get to the Safe Haven at Andover Way?
The easiest way is to walk or drive. It is a 25 minute walk from the Safe Haven at Victoria Road or a six minute drive. Parking is available at the venue. Public transport is limited. A number 15 bus can take you from Aldershot Bus Station to Tices Meadow, opposite Basing Drive. It is then a one-minute walk to the Safe Haven. However, the service stops early-mid evening. Times can be found here: https://bustimes.org/services/15-aldershot-tices-meadow
How long will the Aldershot Safe Haven be based at Andover Way?
We have identified a new, more suitable and centrally located site that we expect to move to in Summer 2022. The address for this site is Walpole House, Pickford Street, Aldershot. The Safe Haven will be at Andover Way until this move.
Why does the Safe Haven have to move to temporary premises?
Efforts had been underway for some time to identify a new, more suitable building for the Aldershot Safe Haven and we had hoped we could move directly from Victoria Road to Walpole House. However, a decision by the landlord to sell the Victoria Road premises at the end of last year meant there was not sufficient time to organise the move.
We recognise the temporary move to Andover Way is not ideal and would have preferred to relocate the Safe Haven to a town centre property during this interim period. But despite huge efforts this was not possible. We are, however, pleased that there will be no disruption to the Safe Haven service following this move.
