The ‘Community Infrastructure Partnership CIC’ sets the tone for collaborative working.

Tony Capon from Basingstoke Voluntary Action has been elected as Chairman of the newly created Community Infrastructure Partnership CIC.

The basis of this joint venture company will enable the partnership to hold joint grants, contracts and services and will operate alongside existing contracts held by individual CVSs. The partners are fully committed to its success whilst maintaining their individual identity and role in their local community, championing the best interests of those who use their services and bringing prosperity to their communities.

The not-for-profit company has been set up by seven CVS (infrastructure organisations providing support to charities, social enterprises and communities) across Hampshire setting the tone for a collaboration of like-minded organisations and bringing together a wealth of experience and diversity.

The seven founding partners include Action Hampshire, Basingstoke Voluntary Action, Gosport Voluntary Action, Hart Voluntary Action, One Community, Rushmoor Voluntary Services and Unity.

Tony Capon, Community Infrastructure Partnership CIC Chairman said “In a climate where true collaboration is more vital than ever, this fantastic partnership offers a vehicle for turbocharging our ability to work at scale across Hampshire, blending ultra-efficiency with decades of experience in serving the hundreds of community and not-for-profit organisations we represent across our amazing county.”
